Thank you to everyone who came out this day to join our Neighbourhood Small Grant projects – Eco-Flower Party, to share kindness, joy, and flowers with one another! 🌸💐
We were also so blessed to have London Drugs sponsored us with a gift card, allowing us to prepare a wonderful variety of snacks for our flower party. And a heartfelt thank you to some of our participants who generously brought their own homemade dishes, baked treats, desserts, juice, snacks, and cookies, even though we never asked them to. ❤️ Your generosity truly reflects the spirit of this community, a spirit of caring and sharing that keeps us strong. What a beautiful reminder that when everyone contributes a little, we can create something so much more meaningful together. 🥰
I hope everyone of you enjoyed the time together, and of course, the beautiful floral ring you created with your own hands. It’s more than just a pretty piece, it’s a little keepsake to remind you of today. Bling bling! 💍🌹
Today also reminded me of how flowers can bring us lasting joy and gratitude. When they are growing on the farm, they remind us of God’s beauty. When they are cut, they continue to brighten our lives through floral arrangements. And even when they no longer look their best, we can still dry them, transform them, and give them a new life as beautiful keepsakes. 🥀🌹
After almost a decade of working with flowers and people, I’ve learned an important life lesson that I’d love to share:
Try not to judge anyone or anything by appearance or sound, especially in this digital world. Take a little time to understand each other’s stories, backgrounds, and personalities. Give one another space to grow, and help each other discover our strengths.
With the grace of God, we can bring out the best in one another and create something beautiful and lasting, just as we witnessed today. ❤️
